April showers in the Valley

I don't think that April is ever too wet out here, normally our rain stops in March!

Today was actually 89 degrees, far far from a rainy day!

April Showers In Russia

One things for sure here in Russia................there are 4 very distinct seasons!  Experiencing 4 true seasons is something that is still so amusing to me.  We've had a lot of wet and gray days lately.

Sporting my new rain boots which are an absolute need this Spring.

The potholes are at their very worst this season and all this rain isn't helping.

Working Hard In Russia

Do you see the men on top?  They're clearing snow and ice from the roof.

Clearing snow.............such a hard job usually left for minorities or older people and women.

The grocery store next door has been bought out by another grocery
store so everything has to be painted red now.  This poor man is
painting in the rain!  Not sure how great the quality will be!!

Chocolate in the Valley

April means strawberry season and there could only be one way to enjoy fresh juicy berries!  When Nat moved to Russia the girls were sad because that meant no more desserts.  One of their favorite that their Tia Nat would make is chocoloate covered strawberries so they have been asking and I finally gave in and made some with my little one, Madison.   What a lovely way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon!!!!

Chocolate in Russia

I can't buy chocolate chips in Russia, so this is usually
the chocolate I buy to chop up for my baking.

I love going to the local market and buying a variety of chocolates.

My little chocolate lover.
